History
The International School of Choueifat - Suleimaniah is the second SABIS® operated private school in the Kurdistan Region. The first private school is the International School of Choueifat - Erbil, which opened its doors in September 2006 and will serve over 1,000 students in Kindergarten through Grade 8 in AY 2009-10. Today, after three years in operation, ISC-Erbil is attracting local and international parents, who are eager to provide their children with a high-quality educational experience that helps them become responsible world-class citizens.
The International School of Choueifat - Suleimaniah will operate from a temporary facility located in Suleimaniah German Village until the new campus is completed. The permanent campus of the International School of Choueifat - Suleimaniah, which will be designed by Khatib and Alami and will be built by Gorkem (Turkish Company) and Zozek (local company), will stretch over a 50,000 sq.m. plot of land in the Rapareen quarter and will house numerous modern-day amenities. Until the campus is completed in September 2011, the school will welcome students from Grade 1 to 3 to the German Village starting November 1st, 2009.
